The Test Engineering team in the Clearing and Settlement (CAS) area delivers quality services and solutions using best-in-class processes, methodologies, and technology with our worldwide workforce. We are an integral part of delivering projects that support the World Wide Business Releases bi-annually, monthly and weekly projects and maintenance work, as well as multiyear infrastructure projects that introduce new programming logic via, C++ and Object Oriented code. We also support and work with other peer Test Engineering organizations on integration, downstream testing to ensure no defects impact production processes.
The Network Processing Test Engineering team committed to leveraging innovative technology to enhance software quality and to accelerate time-to-market. We test approximately 800 to 1000 changes to our systems in any given year while collaboratively maintaining a better than 99.7 percent fail safe percentage to a Clearing and Settlement system that supports some 150 million transactions per day. Visa has one of the most visible and most used comprehensive payment systems in the world. It is an exciting time for any professional to join the Network Processing Test Engineering team.
The Software Test Engineer, CAS QA will be based in Bangalore, India and will report to Visa’s Network Processing Test Engineering Management based in Foster City. The successful candidate will support Test Engineering efforts for the Clearing and Settlement (CAS) system, Visa’s largest revenue generating platform and work with other peer Test Engineering organizations to insure seamless code releases.
As a CAS Software Test Engineer you will:
Design and develop tests that will ensure flawless implementation of application and operating system code changes capable of operating at extreme volumes supporting a quickly evolving payments world.
Work in lock step with CAS Applications and Systems / Infrastructure Development team members and deliver test results while working on WaterFall and Agile projects.
Design and implement cutting edge automation solutions for a complex high-volume transactional Payments system to ensure 100% test coverage.
Collaborate with cross-functional test engineering teams to ensure seamless interoperability and integration of multiple applications with CAS.
Get exposure to MVS operating system based applications and its internals
Provide test support for the CAS Production systems and address emergency changes
Design and develop test plans and functional test casesbusiness requirements and conceptual documents
Collaborate with the Development, Product and System Architecture teams to analyze, debug and resolve design and code issues
Build and execute manual and automated test cases, analyze and report test results to development and product teams.
Support cross-functional teams in integrated test efforts.
Report project status and issues to Project Managers and Management
Implement standard processes, tools, and metrics to deliver large-scale projectsinception to conclusion that meet quantifiable business objectives.
Design, develop and maintain test environments and automated test suites.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline is required, advanced degree a plus.
0 – 1 years of applications design, development or testing experience, or equivalent education background required
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycles, processes and methodologies
Basic knowledge of C/C++. Familiarity with SQL and DB2.
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to develop technical specificationshigh-level business requirements
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize workload and maintain focus
Ability to work well within a globally distributed team in a high performance organization.
Experience in developing electronic payment systems is desirable
