Be responsible for module controller firmware testing forInfinera Advanced Optical Line Modules. The areas of testing include, but are not limited to, Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) controls, 100G coherent detection, FEC configuration and performance monitoring.
Participate in complete system development life cycle: concept, design, development, tests and integration, maintenance and documentation.
Work closely with development and manufacturing engineers to write test plans and procedures for verification of firmware and optical performance
Develop, execute, and maintain test code in R&D environment
Understand firmware features and operations to create test cases that can expose firmware failures.
Debug of test failures to determine the root causes and recommend a solution
Define production test and provide manufacturing support as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiar with embedded system firmware development cycles and firmware quality assurance processes
Good knowledge of digital hardware, DSP/MCU, ADC/DAC, RS232, GPIB
Experience with DWDM and Fiber optic system is a plus
5+ years test software development with MS Visual Basic, C++ for test equipment control and data acquisition
Experience with Linux environment and Python is a plus
Programming experience with test equipments such as Oscilloscope, OSA, Optical Power Meter, Tunable laser source
Knowledge of bug tracking system and source code control software
Ability to use software toolsMicrosoft Excel to analyze and graphically present data.
Good writing and communication skills are required.
Credentials and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in EE or CS with good academics or equivalent experience.
