Professional Services as part of Global Services delivers rapid, outstanding design, implementation and integration services. As part of this service line, PS offers Quick Start Implementation Services and Custom solutions. The Global Product Practices in PS include Symmetrix, Unified Storage, Data Migration and Backup and Recovery Services.
Manages the delivery of customer engagements for EMC. Responsible for managing the full life cycle of projects or programs from requirements gathering through customer service handover. Acts as primary interface to the customer, vendor and all EMC personnel associated with the engagement.Ensures the successful completion of required deliverables/milestones.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures program deliverables are met timely and efficiently.
Organizes and manages cross-functional problem resolution efforts as required.
Perform other duties as required.
Maintains awareness of trends, business conditions and internal process and practices impacting project/program(s)
Identifies areas of risk/opportunities and influences and implements continuous improvements
Defines and reports project/program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics. Develops tools and analytics to support project/program success factors.
Develops communications and presentations and ensures communication of project/program initiatives, messages and status to appropriate parties.
Makes recommendations to senior management as necessary. Manages communication and coordination of cross functional teams across multiple areas and with third party partners.
Prepares documentation and other communications as necessary.
Leads and manages cross functional team(s) in the establishment, planning and implementation of multiple projects and/or programs. Identifies priorities and resources relative to each initiative, project or program. Ensures initiative, project and/or program deliverables are met on time and within budget as required. May facilitate partner alignment and maintain partner relationships
Experience in IT Infrastructure domain
ITIL / PMP / Prince2 training / certification is a plus
Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal skills.
Problem solving skills.
Knowledge of EMC’s products & technology is a definite plus
(4-12 years’ experience)
