Provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for hardware/software problems. When unable to resolve, escalate to second or third level in accordance with Help Desk escalation processes.
Maintain overall ownership of user’s issue & service ensuring that they receive resolution within a reasonable timeframe.
Support various Linux OS flavors (Ubuntu, Lubuntu, Etc..).
Support various Mac OS flavors.
Support various Windows OS flavors.
Provide initial assessment of urgency and business impact on all support calls.
Manage service requests, software installations, new computer setups, upgrades, etc.
Record incident resolutions in the Help Desk tool.
Support the following Applications: Microsoft products for Mac and Windows, Adobe, Etc…
Support the following OS: Windows OS, Linux OS, Mac OS.
Support the following Hardware’s: desktops, laptops, printers, networked copiers, NIC’s, basic LAN/Wifi/WAN connectivity and others as assigned.
Supporting network printer installation and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate well with internal and external contacts.
Desktop Engineer will be providing IT assistance to include application support, hardware and software installation and troubleshooting.
Configuring Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express.
Perform system software and hardware maintenance, evaluate, test and integrate upgrades to operating systems, support software and applications.
Knowledge on Video conferencing setup and IP Phone L1 Support.
Manufacturing PC standard image test and deployment.
Antivirus Symantec support and patch management for PCs.
Basic knowledge in networking switches and port management.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Provides remote end-user helpdesk support to clients.
Performs remote troubleshooting and resolution to address various network related issues on client networks.
Remote support for network printer installation and troubleshooting.
Visiting to various office locations to resolve the issues.
Wireless barcode scanner installation and troubleshooting.
Barcode and label printer installation and troubleshooting.
