Why are you important to us?
Backend software engineers are responsible scaling the backend of Konotor to millions of users.
We are still in our infancy but we are handling 12 million calls per day to the server today, we anticipate that this will multiply manifold in the coming months. You’ll be at the forefront of this scale by building newer features, writing code that scales and critical to the success of the company
What will you be doing?
As a backend engineer you’ll be part of an agile team which is iterating on the product on a weekly basis. You will specialize in building the Konotor infrastructure. You think of how code for a feature will scale, how to measure it and how to improve it. You’ll write efficient REST API methods that will be called by mobile devices and desktops
What experience of yours is relevant to us:
– Commanding grasp of Java, SQL, Servlets and you are willing to learn other languages to solve the problem at hand
– Strong CS fundamentals
– You have worked on high scale problems.
– 3-6 years experience.
Nice to have:
– Experience with Caching stores, Jmeter, Performance tuning.
We are a team of experienced professionals from a rich product background. We have engineering as well as product management experience in companies such a Zynga, eBay, Verizon where we catered and built experiences for millions of users.
At Konotor we want to redefine how apps engage and market to their users and solve the problem of retention with the help of in app messaging.
Desired Skills and Experience
Java, SQL, Redis, Servlets. Willing to experiment with new technology to solve problems of scale etc.
