Job Summary :
# To provide technical documentation for Infrastructure Support and help keep them up-to-date with all relevant and necessary information. These documents would be used by the Technicians as part of their Incident investigation / triage.

This will include performing the following activities :
# Creates documentation that is complete, unambiguous, and as concise as possible.
# Possesses and applies expertise to interview subject matter experts (SME) and conduct research necessary to produce accurate, comprehensive documents on time without errors.
# Should have a good command of the technical terms and vocabulary commonly used in the field in which they are working.
# Handle administrative details and routine issues independently, and take responsibility for completing these on time, to a high quality
# May be expected to contribute to the layout and design of the document.
# May work solo and be responsible for all aspects of the document, or be part of a team and need to perform his duties reliably to get the project completed on time.
# Ability to work under tight timeframes and meet all deadlines.
# Maintain up to date knowledge of policies and procedures relating to Ernst and Young technology services
# Be available to perform after hours work
# Perform special assignments as required
# Perform daily / weekly administrative tasks as required
# Highlight any individual or team training / knowledge gaps that may exist and work with senior members of team to address/resolve Contribute to and participate in, relevant projects that will enhance the service received by clients
# Actively participate in the firms performance management and development process co-developing Annual Plans with appointed counsellor.
# Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
# Ability to work independently and foster new ideas
# High cultural intelligence to be able to interact within a global organization

Essential Functions of the Job :
# Quality Management
– Ensure feedback from technicians and other teams are addressed in a timely fashion.
– Identify improvement opportunities within process and documentation.
– Identification of appropriate recovery actions, agreeing timelines and holding teams accountable for meeting agreed targets escalating when appropriate.
# Process Alignment/Technical Leadership
– Ensure team adherence to established processes.
– Promote operational excellence by challenging current practices, carrying out research and contributing new data and insights into teams best practices.
# Coaching and Development

– Coach and develop more junior members.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements :
– Sufficient knowledge of IT operations, responsibilities, work flow processes and procedures in order to resolve most inquiries independently.
– Excellent communication skills, particularly technical writing skills and ability to peer review technical documents for grammar, content and style of writing.
– Excellent team working skills, including strong work ethic Demonstrated ability to document business processes and write detailed functional requirements.
– Possess strong organizational and project management skills
– Attention to detail
– Proactive, organised and able to prioritise tasks
– Ability to quickly gain knowledge and understanding
– Recognises issues and seeks guidance on solutions
– Able to develop working relationships with staff at all levels
– Able to collect/extract information from systems and present findings

Job Requirements:

# Mandatory:
– Microsoft Office 2007 suite
– Working knowledge of standard business applications (eg, Microsoft Word/Excel, etc).
– Understanding of IT Infrastructure.
# Desirable:
– Successful completion of College/University course in Business, Computing or Information Technology
– Good knowledge of English, both verbal and written
– English language skills – excellent written and verbal communication
– Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality

# Mandatory:
– 0-1 year experience working in an IT firm writing end-user manuals, online help, white papers and reports, system documentation, installation guides, presentation materials, training materials, and other documents as needed as well as editing print documents and online help systems.
# Desirable:
– Experience working with IT requirements of a global firm
