Job Description

QA Analyst in the Products team

Essential Skills Needed:

Minimum 2-4 years experience and working knowledge on UK HR & Payroll domain
Knowledge of ResourceLink preferred
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely
Must be able to translate client business rules to technical business requirements
Must possess strong analytical skills.
Must have good documentation skills and should be able to work in global environment.

Job Description
Test Planning and Control
– Production of estimates of testing time-scales
– Reviews project completion and sign off.
– High Level Test Specifications to agreed standards.

Test Design and Development
– Reviews requirement documents and functional/technical specificationsa user and application perspective and provides feedback.
– Analyses requirement documents and functional/technical specifications for test preparation and creates a test plan to cover the identified test cases.
– Produces clear and comprehensive Test Plans to the agreed standards.
– Reviews defects that have been logged by customers and ensures effective test cases are included to cover identified problem areas.
– Amends existing test plans to extend the scope or to include changes that are required.
– Reviews Test Plans produced by other team members

.Test Execution
– Installs software and upgrades databases as required.
– Execute the planned tests.
– Monitors / compares output against requirements and expected results.
-Keeps accurate records of passed and failed test cases in designated project area
– Recordssoftware defects on the relevant Monitoring System
– Ensures each defect logged is detailed enough so as to aid quick resolution.
– Ensures that any solutions are re-tested.
– Re-test fixes / issues, updating the Monitoring System accordingly.
– Records progress for project review.

Monitor and Record
– Monitors / compares output against requirements and expected results.
– Keeps accurate records of passed and failed test cases.
– Recordssoftware defects on the relevant Monitoring System.
– Monitorsdefects logged during the project in the relevant Monitoring System.
– Ensures solutions are re-tested and the Monitoring System is updated accordingly.
– Ensure effective test cases are included so as to capture their re-occurrence.
– Updates any progress control points as required in the appropriate project area.
– Monitor and update standard documents/progress reports as required.

Product Knowledge and Awareness
– Demonstrates a working level of knowledge of industry standards, statutory regulations and product under review
– Demonstrates an ability to view the producta user?s perspective.

Process Improvement and Personal Development
– Identifying areasimprovements can be achieved
– Identify requirements for new shared library functions to be included in future project plans.
– Provide feedback for washup meetings to ensure continuous improvement of the processes.
– Undertake and complete personal training using tools such as SkillSoft e-learning to improve skills and knowledge.
