This position is responsible for developing and executing formal test plans as part of the software development process to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. The position creates test plans, writes test cases/scripts and executes testing. Develop processes and collections of testing approaches that streamline testing while effectively ensuring the right processing and functionality exists.
Work on problems of moderate scopeanalysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercise independent judgment and decision-making.
Position is expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.
Use tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
Develop, modify, and executetypes of test plans including software, processes, procedure documents, enterprise application integration (EAI), and service oriented architecture (SOA).
Develop, modify, and execute software test plans. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
During times of emergencies, outages and project planned work; be on call and available until the event is addressed. During system conversions, extra effort may be required in order to ensure the roll out of the system is successful.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in a related field.
Typically 2 or more years of related professional experience. Basic applied knowledge of business processes, flow and functionality.

Developing application of moderate to advanced testing tools and applications performance tools.
Give and receive information such as options, technical direction, instructions and reporting results.
Skill level is still developing towards journey-level contributor, but has solid foundation in many of the critical IT competencies needed to perform the job.
