Job Overview: 
Associate Solutions Engineer is a member of the Business organization. This person contributes to bookings growth and customer success through participation in business teams as an application developer. This person builds business processes, framework features and supporting functions based upon identified business requirements and use cases. The person also functions in Scrum teams with other professionals focused on building, maintaining and supporting solutions frameworks for the specific industry.

The Associate Solutions engineer also serves as an escalation point for GCS cases from existing customers, providing troubleshooting, support and hotfixes to existing product versions as required.

The Associate Solutions engineer is required to communicate and share knowledge of the frameworks with peers, GCS and the Pega community at large (through forums like Mesh).

80%  Design and Development

  • Actively participates in design and development of frameworks.
  • Ensures delivered work meets technical and functional requirements
  • Participates in development activities as per defined best practices
  • Becomes PRPC certified within 3 months of completing training
  • Assists in the identification of enhancements to PRPC and development of use cases in order to request and prioritize those enhancements.
  • Stays on schedule with assigned tasks.
  • Provides regular updates to leads on project progress and outstanding issues
  • Expands knowledge of target industry.
10%  Product Lifecycle Management

  • Scrum: Actively participates in the Scrum processes used to develop solutions. Provide continuous feedback and implement changes to our development processes.
  • Provide oversight and direction during the Framework Development
  • Help in testing various features of the product
10%  Resolve customer issues either by providing technical

  • Customer Support

Required Qualifications:

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large scale Java centric enterprise application systems.
  • Experience in J2EE (JSP, Servlets, Oracle and/or DB2 and MS/SQL)
  • Strong OO experience
  • Javascript, CSS, HTML experience is highly desired.
  • Working experience in an agile/scrum team environment.
  • Strong interest and desire to learn BPM and development in PRPC
  • BS/BA or equivalent
